International Partner Representatives and International Chapter Representatives,
Just a reminder the ACI Spring 2015 Convention will be held in Kansas City, MO in mid-April. We hope you will be able to join us, and that you will participate in the International Forum and attend the International Lunch on Sunday, April 12, 2015. The 5th International Forum will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM in room C-2202 of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown and Kansas City Convention Center.
On behalf of ACI Vice President Sharon Wood, who will Chair the International Forum, I am pleased to invite you to attend the Forum, as well as a welcome reception from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM immediately outside room C-2202. Coffee/tea and pastries will be available. This will be a great opportunity to mingle with your colleagues and engage in informal conversation with ACI leaders.
The format of the International Forum is intended to give International Partners, Chapters and others an opportunity to share information on their organization’s activities and plans. In order to plan for this year’s program, we will provide specific time slots for you to give a short presentation about your organization. You may want to include interesting facts about your organization, its recent accomplishments, upcoming events and plans.
Please advise me via email as soon as possible if you would like to make a 5 to 10 minute presentation at this Forum. We will assign presentation times to our International Partners and Chapters on a first come basis, and should time remain, we will have additional discussion. ACI VP Sharon Wood and Bernie Pekor, ACI Director - International Business Development will also provide information on ACI activities and items of interest.
Again, please advise me regarding:
1) Your intention to attend the Forum
2) Your desire to give a short presentation
The International Lunch will be held immediately after the Forum, where Dr. Yilmaz Akkaya, Director of the Marmaray Laboratory at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), will give a special presentation titled “Crossing the Bosphorus in Istanbul: Tunnels, Bridges, and a lot of Concrete.” We hope you will be able to attend.
